I’m delighted to share this week’s
passionate message with you, which was kindly written by Claire Forbes…
Steve Martin once said “Be so good they can’t
ignore you.”
Now, it’s probably easier to think of being a good
neurosurgeon like Chris Barnard or a brilliant visionary like Steve Jobs. But
what about the other areas of life where being the benchmark is not such an
easy association to make, like giving back to the community or personal
integrity?
Last week as part of a Women’s Day initiative, a group
of teamstars created a benchmark of a different kind. We went to Arcadia Place
old age home in Observatory. We took action to be the change that we wanted to
see in the world. I’m sure those old folks would say we made a big difference.
We could have done much less, but instead we benchmarked what it means to care,
to get involved, to make meaning and to listen. Now, isn’t that where
benchmarking begins?
We are a business that dreams of
positively shaping the future of people and organisations. Well done to all who
stepped up and gave into this dream last week. Powerful stuff! Let’s keep the
flywheel spinning…
Have a wonderful week.
Warm regards,
Joanne Sharpe
