This past weekend I discovered a video on YouTube called “People are Awesome”  

This clip is packed with action and crazy stunts, but it made me realise that we do have the power, the knowledge and strength to make even the farfetched dreams a reality. I shared my notes with you below.

 

·         10 000 Hours – We need to complete our 10 000 hours to become exceptional and to stand out from the ordinary

·         Passion – We need to have a passion and love for what we do.

·         Excellence comes from dissonance

·         A hint of crazy – Sometimes we need to be a little crazy to achieve our extraordinary visions

·         Commitment – We need to commit fully to what we cherish!

As this year is reaching its end we are all becoming more tired and wearied. The smallest things can become enough to trigger a response. How do we manage this?

I recently discovered the Visuals learning called “A kick in the attitude” (link below). Sam Glenn speaks about the elements around us and how we can ultimately change our attitude that will have a direct correlation on our response.

“We cannot control what goes on around us, but we can control our perceptions, responses and actions, which ultimately form our attitude.” Sam Glenn

The Key take outs for managing our attitude is:

·         Lighten Up

·         Keep your perspective

·         Reject negativity

Challenge for the week: Let us be positive and change our attitude, and be cognisant of our responses towards one another.

Hello High Heelers,

I know real life superheroes. Really, I do! Yesterday driving home from a braai my bestie said to her hubby, very casually, “Do a U-turn now and go back quickly.” To my absolute amazement her hubby took action and immediately swung the car into oncoming traffic and sneakily managed to get onto the other side of the road without killing us.
