Today we have a special message from the
E.E. Committee…
Once you agree upon the price you
must pay for success, it enables you to ignore the minor hurts, the opponent's
pressure, and the temporary failures. –Vince T. Lombardi
In light of our recent Vwards event, the air is abuzz with a collective sense of accomplishment that comes from being part of a successful team that draws meaning from each individual on a daily basis. In the small, everyday disciplines and in the ‘go-big-or-go-home’ gestures we work together to wow our clients through our Xperiences.
As a committee, we have agreed that the price we will
pay for success is a dedicated effort to seeing that our initiatives are
underpinned by our values. One of the many focus areas is a commitment to meet
our promises in terms of employment equity and to empower and develop people
through meaningful training initiatives.
We have recently submitted our Annual Training Report
(ATR) and Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) to the Department of Labour (a huge thank
you to Charne for the late nights and all the other bits that Coach Lombardi
may have considered to be minor hurts and pressure!) Things are looking good in
terms of our Empowerdex and BBBEE touch points. We have some exciting
developments in the pipeline for the next few months so watch this space!
Have a wonderful week!
(Thanks to Claire Forbes for crafting this wonderful
message J)
Cheers,
Joanne Sharpe
