“Take heed: You do not find what you do not seek.” (English Proverb)
This is a personal reminder that I have up in my house at the moment. It’s a statement that (in my mind) contradicts the Hullet’s sugar pack quote “Life is what happens when you’re making other plans” (yet another good reason to put a hold on the sugar consumption J). To me, this English Proverb really brings home the fact that if we want something, we need to go for it, set our sights on the target and fire! Of course, as we’ve recently learnt from our Cookbook, we should start firing bullets before we fire the big canon. TeamStars, it’s quite simple, if we don’t know where we’re going, we’ll never actually get there.
To have direction we need a vision (which we should all know by now) and a dream. Our dream, or our mission, is ‘to positively shape the future of people and organisations.’ That’s the target, that’s what we’re all working so hard to achieve. So as we get further into 2012 and the workload starts to increase, remember the dream, remember why you’re here and remember what we’re all seeking together.
Today I’d like to remind us all of our strapline – dream it … believe it … do it! As with most great achievements, it all begins with the dream. Believing in it and doing it is up to all of us.
So spend some time thinking about how you bring our LRMG dream to life this week – because you all do in your own special way! Let’s work together to really bring about an explosion of performance in our clients’ environments, and in our own, by reaching for our dreams. Have a wonderful week TeamStars.
